The Shea tree has been revered for centuries as the tree of life. Its rich properties make it a top choice for cosmetics companies in formulations such as creams, lotions, soaps, conditioners, balms, massage creams and more. Shea Butter contains fatty acids, including stearic and oleic acids and vitamins A, E, F, and K. This makes it an excellent choice for dry skin and other moisture-related conditions such as cracked heels and ashy and flaky skin. Our Shea Butter is cold-pressed which means that it has not been extracted using solvents and chemicals. This allows it to retain all of its incredible properties making it the finest quality. White or Ivory Unrefined Shea Butter has a pale off-white/ivory colour and a beautiful nutty scent with a smokey note.

Our raw African Shea Butter is 100% Pure/unrefined and organic from Ghana. Shea butter is easy to use alone or in DIY recipes. Its soft texture melts easily and makes it perfect for making a variety of homemade preparations such as soaps, lotions, creams, body butter, lip balms, lotions bars, deodorants, hair conditioners and more.

  • Shea butter is rich in different kinds of fatty acids. This unique build helps clear the skin of excess oil (sebum). It restores the natural balance of oils in the skin and makes it great for controlling oily skin and treating acne.
  • Antioxidant. Shea butter is high in vitamins A and E, which protects the skin cells from free radicals that can cause dull-looking skin and premature ageing.
  • Shea butter serves as a great moisturiser. Shea butter restores and locks in moisture so the skin doesn't feel dry and stripped. This also causes it to reduce the risk of dryness.
  • Anti-inflammatory. Shea butter slows the process of inflammation by using cells like cytokines to minimise its effects. This reduces irritation caused by hot weather and skin dryness as well as inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema.
  • Antifungal. Shea butter can be used together with other essential oils and natural ingredients to treat fungal infections such as ringworm and athlete’s foot.
